Dream jobs

Where have all the dream jobs gone? They are still there, even though it may seem they are not. It all depends upon you. What kind of job are you looking for? Certain tests can help you decide by giving you choices based upon your aptitudes and personality style.

You have to find what you are passionate about. This depends upon how well you know yourself. If at times it seems we know ourselves all too well, it may be that at other times we don’t.

This is especially true when it comes to finding a brand new career whether you never had a job before or are ready in midlife to change to something completely different.

What did you want to do when you grew up? Now, maybe you are. Now what, if you still don’t know? We need to take an honest self inventory. We all have certain gifts and talents we were born with.

We must find what we love doing. This is essential. Remember, we only live once. Why be in misery? We all need to make a good living to pay for all those things we want and need.

We also have to work around those who we get along with. Usually it’s those who have the same values and opinions. Who wants to work with people he has nothing in common with?  We all want to live the kind of life we’ve always dreamt about.

We have to work at a place where we enjoy. Somewhere where we agree with what they stand for. The working environment has to be pleasant decorated in a way we feel comfortable.

We like certain colors and need to be in a work culture we care about. You may find the occupational outlook handbook useful for finding pay scales and industries you’d be interested in finding out more about.
